Teacher – Dulce-Marie’s mother, aunts, and cousins are teachers throughout New York City and, prior to immigrating, her great-aunt and grandmother taught literacy in the Dominican mountains. Dulce-Marie is immensely proud to be a third-generation bilingual educator. Dulce-Marie has dedicated her career to working with highly mobile children. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in English from Penn State, Dulce-Marie began teaching in New York City public schools, homeless shelters, and foster care agencies. Dulce-Marie earned her Master’s in Literacy Specialization from the Teachers College in 2017. Dulce-Marie loves being a teacher; she believes it is the most interesting and most fun job in the world. Outside of work, Dulce-Marie loves to play piano, study new languages, travel, and box.
