Raisa, who was born in Bangladesh and immigrated to the United States during her middle school years, knows the difficulties that many English Language Learners encounter in classrooms and in the school environment in general. She is committed to provide students the assistance she wished she had received while in school and is eager to work hard to ensure that all students have the greatest experience at Haven! Her interest in English increased throughout her high school and college years, when she learned how this one subject has the capacity to transport you to another dimension with its words, phrases, and, its ability to make people think critically. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Fordham University and opted to pursue her master’s degree at the Fordham Graduate School of Education shortly after she completed her undergraduate education. Raisa enjoys exploring restaurants, sleeping, traveling, and doing henna art in her spare time, all while spending time with her friends and family.
