Teacher – Yahaira was born and raised in the Bronx. She attended the State University of New York at Oswego and City University of New York at Brooklyn College where she earned a B.A. in Television and Radio. Her passion for broadcasting and journalism shifted to that of Special Education while working at a charter school. She then earned a dual Masters in Special Education and Elementary Education from Metropolitan College of New York. Yahaira has a desire to give back to her community and be a role model. Her passion for Special Education and educational equity brought her to Haven. She brings dedication, passion, love, and humor to the classroom!
