Ms. Rivera is thrilled to be on the Mott Haven Academy team as the Middle School Interventionist. A proud Bronx native with Puerto Rican roots, she is deeply committed to serving the community and supporting the success of all students. She began her teaching career right after graduating from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in 2018, working with several charter schools across the Bronx. She later earned her Master’s in Teaching from the Relay Graduate School of Education and holds certifications in both general and special education. Her greatest joy as an educator is helping students grow, overcome challenges, and realize their full potential. Ms. Rivera has also had the privilege of teaching abroad, which allowed her to combine her love of travel with her passion for education—an experience she brings into the classroom to broaden students’ perspectives. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Education with the goal of bridging learning gaps in urban communities. Outside of teaching, she enjoys exploring new places, spending time with her dog Kobe, and volunteering with local organizations.
