Haven Academy is redefining school by intentionally designing spaces and programs to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of all children, with a focus on those impacted by the child welfare system. United with our scholars and their families, we aim to dismantle systemic barriers to success through comprehensive support services, responsive curriculum, predictability, and an emphasis on voice and choice. Anthony Cerasi
Teacher

Anthony Cerasi received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. After graduating from SNHU 2015, he served in City Year, New Hampshire where he taught in a third grade classroom. Through his year of teaching, Anthony realized he always wanted to work with children. Anthony worked as a Socio-therapist for 2 years while applying to graduate schools for social work. He graduated from CUNY Lehman in May of 2020. Anthony spent his two years interning at Mott Haven Academy, and is now the middle school Social Worker.

Haven Academy opened in the Fall of 2008 and has grown to serve students in grades PreK-6.

All children eligible to attend NYC Public Schools are eligible to attend Mott Haven Academy Charter School.
