Music Teacher – Morgan grew up in Cincinnati, OH where discovered her passion for music at a very young age. Prior to attending college, she performed on National Public Radio’s show, From The Top, with her trio “Freshwinds”. She attended Indiana University Jacob’s School of Music, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Music Education-Clarinet. While in school, Morgan enjoyed being a member of the Indiana University Marching Hundred and Concert Band. For the past 8 years, Morgan has taught in public, private and charter schools located in the Bronx and Manhattan. She has played clarinet as a member of the Manhattan Wind Ensemble. Morgan also participated in a curriculum writing project for Education Through Music, Inc which is available as a resource for music teachers across New York City. Morgan has attended The Midwest Clinic International Band, Orchestra and Music Conference for the past 15 years. Morgan is very excited to be part of the Mott Haven community and looks forward to making incredible music with her students each day.
