Dance Teacher-
Nicole O’Uhuru received her dance training at LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, where she received the Helen Tamiris Award for excellence in dance. Nicole attended Lehman College for her BA in Theatre. Mrs. Nicole has performed with Creative Outlet Dance Theater of Brooklyn, Opus Dance Theatre, Jubilation! Deeply Rooted, Universal Dance Movement, and Harambee Dance Company. Nicole has toured throughout the United States, Montego Bay, Jamaica, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. As a teaching artist, Nicole works with students from two years old to adult. Mrs. O’Uhuru has worked for MindBuilders Creative Arts Center, Harlem School for The Arts, Alvin Ailey Arts in Education, Harlem Children’s Zone, Musical IQ, and numerous schools throughout the five boroughs for the Department of Education.
