Paul was born in Des Moines, Iowa. After graduating from University of Iowa, Paul went to law school at Drake and worked in the juvenile and family court for a year. He then began his career in education as a New York City Teaching Fellow following in his mom’s footsteps to be a math teacher. He earned a MA in Education from RELAY Graduate School of Education. He brings a passion for learning, a love for children, and a belief that all kids can thrive if given the right support. Outside of Haven, Paul loves spending time with friends and family, reading, running, biking, swimming, and being creative.
