Samantha Dhanraj

Samantha Dhanraj was born in The Netherlands and spent half her childhood there before moving to Queens, NY. Sam started her love for music by studying Indian classical music, which led to her attending LaGuardia Arts High School for vocal music before attending New York University for music education with a focus on vocal performance. She was accepted as part of the Teach for America Corps in 2020, and as a result started working as a 3rd grade and music teacher in Harlem for three years before coming to Haven. Sam is fluent in Dutch and English, and has studied how to use IPA for singing in 10+ different languages.
