April is a native New Yorker and proud Bronx resident, where she lives with her husband of nine years and their dog, Polo. She holds a BA in English Literature from SUNY Binghamton, an MA in Education, and a Professional Teaching Certification in B-2nd. She is entering her twelfth year as a teacher and sixteenth year in education. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, writing fiction, weekend brunch, and exploring our city.
After spending time in educational leadership roles, she is thrilled to return to the classroom, where she has always felt happiest and most fulfilled. April’s goal is to create a warm, nurturing, and joyful environment where every child feels valued, confident, and excited to learn. She believes that strong family partnerships are an essential part of a child’s success, and enjoys working closely with families to build a supportive classroom community where children can thrive.
