Kalyca Thomas is originally from Central Florida. She is the granddaughter of an educator and was instructed by his colleagues in both middle and high school. Ms. Thomas is passionate about urban education and has been committed to student’s academic and social emotional learning since 2004. She is also a New York State mediator and a former Chair of the Board for the Institute for Mediation and Conflict Resolution (IMCR).
