Raquell Carpenter is a proud South Bronx native and educator who is passionate about creating inclusive, engaging, and empowering learning experiences for students. She earned a bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, as well as a master’s degree in Inclusive Special Education from Syracuse University.
Raquell began her teaching career in Syracuse, New York, where she taught middle school mathematics and served in school leadership focused on diversity, equity, belonging, and positive school culture. Returning home to the Bronx to teach is a meaningful full-circle moment for her. She is excited to be part of the Mott Haven Academy community and is committed to helping students recognize their strengths, build confidence in mathematics, and see the possibilities available to them both inside and beyond the classroom.
