Shayla previously taught in Dallas, TX, for four years before deciding to return to the Bronx, where she was born and raised. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Binghamton University in 2018, and later earned her Master’s in Early Childhood Development, Learning, and Intervention from Pace University in 2022. She enjoys plant-based eating, salsa dancing, playing music, and visiting any place with nice weather and a nearby beach.
