Assistant Teacher-
Taariq was born in Harlem and raised in the Bronx. He is pursuing his bachelors in Psychology and minor in Black Studies. While working at a summer camp as a camp counselor with children in elementary school, he discovered a passion of working in a school atmosphere. He then began to search for more opportunities and found one at Haven Academy as an after school group leader. As the years progressed new doors were opened and Taariq was able to become a Teacher’s Assistant. Taariq plans on becoming a counselor for adolescents at the end of his education journey. He hopes to change and have a positive impact on scholars as well as helping them navigate the world. In his free time he enjoys reading science fiction, listening to music and playing basketball and the piano.
