Valerie Hoffer was raised on Long Island, and is a proud product of New York public schools. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from NYU in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Through this program, she began her career in teaching as a “student-teacher” right here at Haven. Valerie brings a unique and empathic perspective to the classroom, from her prior experience as a service member of the U.S. Army, a youth sports coach, and a professional caregiver for adults with developmental disabilities. Valerie is committed to nurturing her students’ lifelong love for learning.
