Abbey is from the crab-tastic state of Maryland where she was born, raised, and fell in love with creating. After high school she attended Towson University (just north of Baltimore) where she majored in Art Education and minored in film studies. While at Towson her art concentration was in printmaking where she created hundreds of different prints through both screen and block printing methods. After college, she relocated to Chapel Hill, North Carolina where she taught K-5 art for 6 years, while her now husband worked on getting his PhD. In 2023 she and her family (her husband and dog Cannoli) relocated again- this time to Roosevelt Island, NY. In her free time outside of school, she loves to work on jigsaw puzzles, play video games, and of course create bright colorful artworks!
