Hailing from Jamaica, Queens with familial ties to Jamaica, West Indies, Misha was both born and raised in New York. With a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology with a minor in Early Childhood Education from CUNY Lehman College, and a master’s degree from Relay Graduate School of Education, Misha has had a path in education that has meandered through five years of teaching reading in and one year of teaching literature and serving as an Associate Dean of Students in Brooklyn, and currently serving in a student support role as the Academic & Behavior Specialist in the middle school as a founding team member. With a passion for social justice, art, self-expression, and the celebration of cultural identity, Misha hopes to inspire students to become bold leaders and innovators, using their socio-emotional and academic lessons to fortify them as they navigate through life and connect with their purpose.
