Although Rebecca was born in New York, she grew up in Bethlehem, PA. Ms. Reynolds has worked in education for seven years. Her interest in education started when she attended Hofstra University, where she studied Viola Performance. While studying there, she worked at a summer camp and taught music to students with autism. She loved every minute, and realized her passion for working with students in New York City. Ms. Reynolds started her career as a New York City Teaching Fellow, where she attended Pace University and got her Masters in Childhood Education, Students with Disabilities. Ms. Reynolds worked in District 75 and in two charter schools in Harlem as a special education teacher. Her love for working with students on self-regulation skills and helping them to be wonderful problem solvers continued to grow, and this landed her at Haven Academy as the Behavior and Data Specialist! Ms. Reynolds is continuing her own education by attending Stony Brook University for her Post-Masters Certificate in School District Leadership/School Building Leadership. When she’s not at Haven or doing coursework, Ms. Reynolds loves to train for marathons, play her viola, and explore all of New York City’s awesome restaurants with her future husband!
