Teacher –
Born in the Dominican Republic, six-year-old Jardy and her family moved to the South Bronx. Eager to emulate her first-grade teacher Ms. Iglesias’ English lessons, she asked her parents to buy her a chalkboard so she could teach them what she learned throughout the school day. Little did she know many years later she would take these experiences and become a teacher, educating children within her very own South Bronx community. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Childhood Education (1-6) form CUNY Hunter’s QUEST Education Program. In 2016, she earned her Master’s in Special Education (1-6) from Touro’s Special Education Program. Each day she brings a sense of pride in her work, high energy, and a desire to help students succeed! In her free time, Jardy enjoys spending time with her children Jayda and Jeter, baking all sorts of delicious treats, visiting new places, searching for the best burger in NYC, and reading.
