Ashley is a Bronx native and has lived her whole life in New York City. She has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in secondary education from The City College of New York of CUNY. Her first teaching experience was with the Archdiocese of New York for 3 years, before moving to charter school in 2019. She has taught STEM in middle and high school for the past 7 years. Ashley’s education philosophy of making rigorous, intentional instruction accessible to all scholars regardless of socioeconomic background has been the driving force of her career as an educator. In May of 2023, she received her Masters of Science in Childhood education and Students with Disabilities dual certification from Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry, NY. She is excited to be embarking on her elementary education path at Haven Academy.
